I'm fundraising for Childhood Eye Cancer Trust

I'm taking part in CHECT's virtual Hospital to Hospital challenge this August and my team will be covering the distance of 244 miles over 31 days - the distance of a round trip between The Royal London Hospital and Birmingham Women's and Children's Hospital, the only two hospitals in the UK treating retinoblastoma (Rb). 

Every mile covered and every pound raised will help to continue to deliver lifelong support to those who need it; drive early diagnosis and understanding; and reduce the negative impact of retinoblastoma.

Retinoblastoma research and care is important to me. 

Through goalball I have met (and become good friends with) some affected by childhood retinoblastoma. These amazing individuals have had to deal with the challenges of visual impairment as well as having cancer.

I work as a trainee paediatric oncologist so also meet patients and families in the clinic who have retinoblastoma. Finally, my research interests are to improve the diagnosis and care of those with cancer predisposition syndromes and Rb is one of those. 

So, I am raising money for the Childhood Eye Cancer Trust to improve the care and outcomes for those affected by retinoblastoma. Please support our team effort with a donation of any amount.
