Registration

Is there a minimum age you have to be to participate?

No, any one is welcome to participate as long as there is an adult to supervise.

Is there a limited number of people who can take part as a team?

No, you can have as many as you like in your team. 

Getting Started

How do I keep track of the miles I've done?

Your profile page shows your personal distance total, making it easy for you to track your progress towards your goal and share updates with friends along the way. You can log your miles using any tracking app on your phone, though we recommend using apps like Strava, Fitbit, or Garmin Connect for the best experience. Or using our physical tracker sent to you in the post which you can update manually on your profile.

Will I receive a CHECT t-shirt or materials?

Fundraising

How much do I have to fundraise?

As a general rule, we ask you to raise a minimum of £350 if you are taking part as an individual or a minimum of £1,000 if you are taking part as a team.

Will I receive support?

Absolutely! Our team will provide guidance, fundraising tips and support throughout the challenge. You'll also receive peer-to-peer support as part of the virtual Hospital to Hospital WhatsApp group. 

The Cause

What will the money raised go towards?

The money you raise will go towards our three key pillars of work: supporting anyone affected by retinoblastoma for as long as they need us; raising awareness of the signs and symptoms of retinoblastoma, and research into the causes and treatment of the disease.

General

Do I have to be part of the WhatsApp group?

No, you don't have to be part of the WhatsApp group if you don't want to.

Any WhatsApp group will solely be used for the purpose of the challenge or event.
