I'm fundraising for Childhood Eye Cancer Trust
I'm taking part in CHECT's virtual Hospital to Hospital challenge this August and I'll be covering the distance of 244 miles (round trip) over 31 days - the distance between The Royal London Hospital and Birmingham Women's and Children's Hospital, the only two hospitals in the UK treating retinoblastoma (Rb).
Every mile covered and every pound raised will help to continue to deliver lifelong support to those who need it; drive early diagnosis and understanding; and reduce the negative impact of retinoblastoma.

My Challenge purpose.
Friday 17th Jul I am challenging myself to walk these miles for my own mental health and to raise money and awareness for Retinoblastoma which is a rare eye condition. Unfortunetly it wasn't rare in my little family as my second oldest child (Orla) was diagnosed with RB when she was only nine months old. She is now Cancer free and has been for almost three years but the mental toll it has had on me and my family and ofcourse my wee girl who went through hell and back has been a challenge in itself. Orla is very close to ringing the bell at Birmingham womens and childrens hospital but for many they are only starting their RB journey. Any donations towards this brilliant charity is greatfully received. CHECT are an amazing charity and all who work with the young children in Birmingham are heroes. Cannot thank the Nurses, Doctors and all staff members enough for everything they have done for Myself, Orla and my family over the years. ShareThanks to my Supporters
