I'm fundraising for Childhood Eye Cancer Trust

I'm taking part in CHECT's virtual Hospital to Hospital challenge this August and I'll be covering the distance of 244 miles (round trip) over 31 days - the distance between The Royal London Hospital and Birmingham Women's and Children's Hospital, the only two hospitals in the UK treating retinoblastoma (Rb). 

Every mile covered and every pound raised will help to continue to deliver lifelong support to those who need it; drive early diagnosis and understanding; and reduce the negative impact of retinoblastoma.

My grandson was diagnosed with retinoblastoma when he was 1. This resulted in him having his eye removed days later. Everything happened so fast, but thanks to the CHECT team.his parents were supported before during and after this. The support remains to this day. We are all eternally grateful for everything they do along with Birmingham hospital, and not forgetting "Dan the eye man!!" So to put one foot in front of the other to enable other families to continue to recieve this care both now and in the future seems like a good way to start. I dont particularly enjoy walking, but im determined to do it to support everyone. So if you can..please donate, but if you are not in a position to do so all i ask is you educate yourselves on the signs of Retinoblastoma, you never know it could change someone's life
